I wanted to make some kind of a model of my hand, so I started experimenting with plaster paris.
I then wrapped my hand in masking tape to see. the effect.
I decided to make a cast of my hand. I still really like the shape of the fist, so when I was casting it, I did it in the shape of a fist.
This is the cast of my hand. I think the peaks and grooves in the mould are interesting, and they in themselves convey a movement.

This is the finished mould of my hand. The creases and indents in the hand are visually interesting, but the photos themselves convey a mood of their own, especially in the last image. The lighting is atmospheric.
I was playing around with the photocopier, and I liked the blurriness of the hand in this one.

Different prints I made of the crease of my fist.
