Hands in Movement

I was interested in the fist, and the way it can portray emotions in its' movement, or lack thereof. These are some photos I printed. I painted over a few with acrylic paint to observe the difference between them. The light and shade in the folds of the skin shows movement. The shape of the hand interests me because of these folds and grooves. Although the photograph is a very accurate portrayal of the hand, I think the painterly technique conveys the emotions in the hand more accurately.
